Banana Plants

Banana plants are very noticeable. Though they resemble trees, banana plants are actually large herbaceous perennials. The “trunk” is a pseudostem made of tightly packed leaf sheaths. The leaves are very large and fragile, they often tear in the wind, giving them a shredded appearance.
